While retaining the essence of the original architecture, this 1.25 acre waterfront estate underwent a major renovation to update and enhance the living areas throughout the property. As the original Architect, 25 years later, the commission was meaningful and rewarding. The remodel included creating an open floor plan and gallery to display the couple's large collection of art, along with living space updates to complement their lifestyle. Modern materials and subtle artistic accents are throughout the home and a complimentary two-story addition contains an art studio and ADU for long term guests. The project's holistic approach incorporates art and nature with a variety of 'outdoor rooms' placed throughout the property, identified by grade transitions, low stone walls, paving and plantings.
